Description
Moro! I am Fanni Mattsson, a young adult from Espoo. I study at Aalto University, and during my studies I have done a lot of voluntary work, for example as a Fuksi Major and Chair of the board of the Aalto University Student Union. I have also grown as an influencer and now I want to expand my field of influence to the City Council! My values include humour, authenticity and innovation. Keeping a little wink in the corner of your eye makes things easy to relax, but even a humorous teekkari can be serious when needed. Still, I am known for my laughter and positive attitude to life. I would like to take these to the city council, because it would be great for me to develop Finland's second largest city!
Election goals
Urban development must be interesting, because it concerns us all! Let's make Espoo more cozy: more nice leisure areas, green spaces, terraces.. Not just concrete shopping centres, but truly pleasant areas.Youth and student employment must make u-turn, and it must be turned upside up! Now too many are caught in a spiral of unemployment for either too much or too little experience.
Securing affordable housing and public transport. Espoo must not become more segregated.

In the county council, I'd be particularly interested in helping to tackle the growing challenges of mental health, and bringing my own organisational and problem-solving skills to the decision-making process. Bringing out the voice of young people!
Election goals
Focus on prevention. There is a lot of under-investment in prevention, despite research showing it has an impact, and many treatment sessions would be missed if prevention worked. This applies to mental health and coping issues as well as to drug users and drug-related deaths.
Sustainable resources must be found for student health care, and the health district must also contribute to this, for example by offering reduced fees for students.
Ensure primary health care for all + especially in the growing Western Uusimaa region, 24-hour specialised health care.
