As a returnee to Imatra, I have had the opportunity to see the city with fresh eyes and have learned to appreciate it even more. As a mother of two, I have not regretted moving back to Imatra even once during these past five years – despite the many challenges that have affected the well-being of residents.

Our city needs more jobs and new, bold actors to bring well-being to the region. Investments in carbon-neutral industry, the circular economy, and tourism are crucial for Imatra's future. Through these, we can boost employment once again.

During my years away, educational opportunities in Imatra declined significantly. We must ensure that skilled professionals are available in the future and that jobs align with people's expertise. Collaboration with educational institutions in South Karelia is essential, and education must be accessible to everyone, regardless of age or background.

I am running in the municipal elections because I want to use my skills and experience to help Imatra become a place where everyone has the opportunity to grow and educate themselves, live safely, pursue hobbies, and work. I want our city to be remembered positively – and for people to eventually return here.

Let’s work together to create a city where the needs of working life are met. Enable life-long learning, support entrepreneurship, and continue working to attract investments to Imatra.
