Kuntavaalit 2025

Description

I am a 56-year-old Master of Science in Engineering from Malminkartano. I have had a long career in the state administration. Within the administrative sector of the Ministry of the Environment, I worked on tasks related to greenhouse gas reporting and prepared municipal-level emission inventories for the European Environment Agency and the European Commission. I have participated in numerous EU projects, primarily responsible for managing and modeling data for large-scale projects.

For nearly 15 years, I have worked on tasks within the administrative sector of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health (STM), mainly related to register-based research. I have been responsible for project databases and statistical analyses. In addition to psychiatric specialty databases, I have studied municipal productivity and efficiency assessments. In the state administration, I was involved in a ministry-led project related to the calculation of oral healthcare indicators.

Last year, I worked as a political advisor in the European Parliament, where I gained extensive insight into the work of the EMPL (Committee on Employment and Social Affairs) and CONT (Committee on Budgetary Control) committees. I attended meetings and drafted amendment proposals for directive proposals within the committees’ areas of responsibility.

In my free time, I run online radio stations (Radio Vapaa Helsinki) and engage in various physical activities.

Election goals

I am committed to improving order and security in schools, on the streets, and in public spaces. Preventive measures, sufficient resources for the police and emergency services, as well as effective street lighting and infrastructure, are key factors.

Helsinki's transportation system must work for everyone – motorists, public transport users, cyclists, and pedestrians. I will ensure that traffic planning is based on practical needs rather than ideology. Parking spaces and smooth connections should be increased, not reduced.

Healthcare, education, and other essential services must be high-quality and accessible to every resident of Helsinki. We should cut bureaucracy, not essential services. Helsinki needs efficient and sensible financial management, where taxpayer money is used wisely.
