I am Miska Veijola-Kara and I am a candidate in this year's municipal and regional elections. I am 27 years old and I live in Oulu, but I am originally from Olhava, which is a small village in the municipality of Ii. I am a chemist and I work as a head chemist in an Oulu-based company that promotes the circular economy, which, among other things, manufactures equipment that cleans industrial wastewater.
The most important values for me are equality and justice, as well as nature and the environment. I believe that every person from Oulu and North Ostrobothnia should have the opportunity to live a good life, and for this we should invest in education, employment and well-being. In my free time, I enjoy running and hiking. This year my goal is to run a marathon and a 100-kilometer trail run with my co-worker.
