A constructive force for change.

I am a 37-year-old Member of Parliament, a Master of Science in Engineering, a mother of two children and a child of two seniors. An experienced councillor, a crisis-resistant negotiator, a curious problem solver and a tenacious bridge builder. A hiker and a bookworm. A human-oriented engineer building a sustainable economy and well-being.

My core values are equality, justice, freedom, empathy and respect for nature. On my desk and close to my heart are especially education, culture, the environment and issues of children, young people and families.

Politics can create hope and solutions in the midst of both major upheavals in the world and everyday challenges of a human scale. I want to reform society so that the economy and human activity are brought within the boundaries of one planet and so that we have a welfare state tomorrow too.

I have served as a city councillor in Espoo for 12 years. In the wellbeing county, I serve as the 1st Vice Chair of the county council, and in Parliament, I work on economic policy as the Vice Chair of the Finance Committee.

Election goals

In a good hometown, everyday life works. Nature is nearby. It is safe to grow and learn in schools and daycare. Culture and libraries invite you to experience. You can get around by public transport and bike, and even pedestrians don't get left behind. Everyone can find a reasonably priced home and a decent job. Loneliness is combated by community to make sure no one is left behind. The economy is managed responsibly within the limits of the environment's carrying capacity. That's the kind of Espoo I want to build.

Investing in early childhood education, education and culture, climate work and nurturing biodiversity, and strengthening well-being and equality are important themes for me in the coming term.
