The new award “Product Development Path Makers” is a recognition for an inspiring initiative or project that has opened new types of opportunities or had an impact in product development. The main award is 16 000 euros. In addition, the finalists will be awarded with 8 000 euros.
– Our members excel in product development. Those who innovate and engineer deserve recognition for the significant contributions they make to Finland's well-being and economy. To honor their contributions, we and our partners have created this award, says Juhani Nokela, TEK’s Director of Public Affairs.

You can nominate an experiment, activity or project. You can nominate something you have been a part of yourself too!
The award can be granted to a community of people or project team that has enacted the activity or experiment. The core activity needs to have taken place in Finland, or the core team needs to have resided in Finland.

A jury will choose the finalists. The jury consists of representatives from TEK, Aalto University, City of Espoo, Technology Industries of Finland and OP. TEK’s representative is Juhani Nokela. In October everyone can vote for their favorite finalist to win.
The winner is announced in November at a seminar by Aalto Design Factory and DIMECC. The seminar ”AI Powering Product Development” will be held in Espoo in November 12th.
