You should keep your job information on the OmaTEK member portal up-to-date. This is particularly important now that collective agreement negotiations have begun or are about to begin in many sectors that are of major importance to TEK members.
As working conditions are being negotiated more and more on a workplace-specific basis, we become increasingly reliant on information.
During the negotiations, it is important for us to be able to inform you about the situation in your sector or even in your own workplace.
In addition, during collective agreement negotiations, for example, we send out goal surveys to our members as needed, so that our negotiators know what our members think.
Academic Engineers and Architects in Finland TEK does labor market advocacy work in cooperation with other Akava unions. The unions have formed two negotiation organizations: the Federation of Professional and Managerial Staff YTN negotiates agreements in the private sector, and the Negotiation Organisation for Public Sector Professionals JUKO handles negotiations in the public sector.
This is why you will often receive messages from YTN or JUKO regarding the negotiations or working conditions. If you are a member of TEK, you are also a member of YTN or JUKO, depending on whether you work in the private or public sector.
Keeping your information up-to-date in OmaTEK is worth it for other reasons as well: the email address and phone number you have provided in OmaTEK will be used to inform you when TEK experts have responded to your contact request, for example. In the portal, you can also specify the topics that you would like to receive emails about.
