Exercise: Sources of energy

What is your personal shock absorber? What refills your battery? Find out with these exercises!

In life, you will encounter many kinds of events; many of them will give you strength, energy and resilience while some will mostly consume your energy. Good personal resources act as a kind of a shock absorber: when you encounter adversity or challenging situations, adequate resources help you encounter the situation in a controlled manner, dampen the shock and support your recovery.

You can also think of your personal resources as a tank with one tube for filling and another for draining. The amount of the resource substance contained in the tank depends on how new substances enter and how quickly they are used. When you have adequate resources, you cope with daily tasks and have enough energy to plan, dream and come up with ideas for the future.

Here you can explore what gives you energy and how you utilise sources of energy that are important to you.
